Custom agents

We do not sell you 16 agents.
We build the one you actually need.

Sixteen agents already exist, tested, running. That is not the offer — that is why building yours takes weeks instead of months. The offer is the seventeenth: an agent for the process that only your company has.

The distinction that matters

Catalogue agent
or custom build.

These are two different kinds of work, and pretending otherwise is how software companies end up either overcharging or quietly not delivering. So here is the honest split.

Catalogue agent

Included. Always.

One of the 16 agents, adapted to your data, your rules and your exceptions. We configure it, connect it and test it against your real cases. There is no charge for having it and no charge for running it, in any tier, ever.

  • Quoting, collections, production tracking, purchasing, quality records, follow-up
  • Two to six hours of work per agent
  • Activated when you need it, not all at once
Custom build

Included in your plan, by the year

A new agent, built from nothing, for a process that exists only in your business. New data model, new logic, new tests against your history. This is real engineering — twenty to twenty-five hours — which is why it is metered by the year rather than unlimited.

  • The workaround your team invented that everything now depends on
  • Twenty to twenty-five hours of build, test and tuning
  • Maintained by us for as long as you stay a client
What this looks like in practice

Three processes
no catalogue would ever have.

Every one of these came out of a conversation with an Ontario business owner. None of them fit any of the 16 agents, and all three are exactly the kind of thing a custom build is for.

01
Precision machining

Traceability packets assembled at quote time

An AS9100-certified shop has to prove lot traceability on every aerospace part. Today someone walks the job records, the material certs and the inspection sheets into a folder by hand, and an audit costs weeks. The agent assembles the packet as the job closes, flags what is missing while the material is still on the floor, and has the audit trail ready before anyone asks for it.

02
Seasonal manufacturing

Overtime reforecast, weekly, during the peak

A business that compresses a year of production into four months does not find out which product lines made money until the season is over and it is too late to change anything. The agent recalculates true cost per line every week through the peak — labour, overtime, scrap — and says which lines to push and which to stop taking orders on.

03
Distribution

A customer’s part numbers, translated on arrival

The largest customer sends purchase orders as PDFs using their own part numbers and their own contract pricing. Someone retypes them, and the mistakes are expensive and invisible for weeks. The agent reads the PDF, maps their numbers to your SKUs, checks every line against the contracted price, and stops the ones that do not match before they become an invoice dispute.

How it is metered

Custom builds included
in every plan.

Every tier comes with a number of custom builds a year. It is metered rather than unlimited for a boring and honest reason: a custom agent is twenty-odd hours of engineering, and any company promising you unlimited engineering for a monthly fee is either going to run out of money or quietly stop returning your calls.

Starter 1 1 custom build per year
Established 4 4 custom builds per year
One more in the same year $1,800 Build, testing against your real cases, and maintenance for as long as you stay a client.
  • Credits do not roll over from one year to the next. Use them — that is the point of them.
  • Moving up a tier is the natural route if you want more than your plan includes.
  • Every custom agent we build stays covered by platform support, permanently, at no extra charge.
  • We will tell you when a process is not worth automating yet. That happens, and it is cheaper for you to hear it early.
For context

What the same agent costs
anywhere else.

Off-the-shelf copilots (M365 and similar) Not possible they do what they do — a process specific to you is out of scope
DIY platforms (n8n, Lindy, Relevance AI) $30–$150 / user / mo you build it, with your people, and you maintain it forever
A GTA automation agency $25k–$80k per agent, several months, and the maintenance stays with you
Orbys Included in your plan weeks, not months, and we maintain it
The honest way to test this

One agent of your own, in 30 days — $2,500

We are new in Canada, so we are not going to ask you to take our word for it. Pick one process. We spend a week auditing it, three weeks building an agent for it, and we agree in writing what success means before we start. If it works, the full $2,500 comes off your implementation. If it does not, you keep the diagnostic and you keep the agent.

See it running on your own numbers

Thirty minutes, no slides. We map two of your processes live and tell you honestly what Orbys would do for them — and what it would not.
